Miners to be Rescued Soon

In Chile workers in a mine have been trapped in it since Aug. 5th and weren't spossed to be rescued until november. They have been surviving by a metal pipe that has been going more than 2,000 feet down to the workers. They have been dropping food and supplies through this hole. There is also a phone cord so that they can talk to there families. They are going to have to widen the hole to rescue the workers, but that can be tricky because if it is not stabalized the rocks could break and fall down and kill the workers.
Do you think they should still widen the whole even with its risks or is there an alternitive?
